An American in Paris

I love to watch movies while I work on the weekends. I had forgotten how absolutely wonderful An American in Paris was when I played it last weekend, it was so good that I had to stop what I was doing and give it my whole attention! I have decided that I have a small crush on Gene Kelly, which most likely stems back to my childhood education of old Hollywood musicals. I wish they still made movies like this - if you haven't seen this one, it's perfect.

One of my favorite numbers, Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron are perfection dancing together.

Not to mention, Leslie Caron's costume from the black and white ball at the end of the film is so beautiful, that I really wish I could have one just like it.

More Photobooth Photos!

This one comes from my long lost friend's wedding. During my trip home I was able to go to her reception where they had a photo booth. What a great idea and such a fun night!

The 80's called

I finally was able to find a photo booth in Orlando with the help of my friend Caroline. We decided to make a stop at Barbecue Bar to take a quick pic during our 80's pub crawl downtown!

Dreaming of Dresses

I have been quite distracted this morning, and while I should have been spending time working I was instead, spending it looking at pretty dresses. I would like to wear dresses like these everyday of my life, and Mod Cloth always gives me an excuse to day dream of doing so!

She & Him: Bank Heist

Alice In Wonderland

My cousin Jonathan just sent these desktop backgrounds from the upcoming Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to me and I had to share. I currently have the Alice background on my desktop but there is also a Mad Hatter, Red Queen and Tweedledee & Tweedledum. I love these patterns, and couldn't be more excited for this movie!

Afternoon at Epcot

oh so lovely

I had to share two of my favorite Etsy finds as of lately, and I moving both of these beautiful treasures to the top of my wish list! I am in love with all of the felt brooches from AAlicia Accessories Shop, and imagine wearing them with one of my solid tops and knee length skirts!

She uses a great Blue Green color combination for this bundle of fall flowers.

And this Coral Pink cluster would be perfect to brighten up any outfit!

I also stumbled across Cupcake Social, and these cupcake papers would be perfect to dress up my next batch of tasty treats! Among all of the fun papers and cupcake toppers these tulip petals papers are unlike any of I have seen.

Buttons and Lace

I was able to make some progress on my quilt square over the weekend. I had great new buttons and lace from a trip to the most wonderful store ever, @ home when I traveled to Savannah Georgia last weekend. I was happy to have a project to use my new treasures on. Now it's on to embroidering, wish me luck!

Quilt Square

Every year my wonderful family does a themed quilt, and everyone who wants to participate embellishes their own square. This Quilt is auctioned off within the family at our reunion in October to raise money for the Antioch Cemetery. I was so excited find my quilt square in the mail yesterday, and I can't wait to get work on it! I have until the end of the July to finish it up so I figured this would be a great place to post the progress. So here is the square as it arrived in the mail. Time to get to work!
